Sewing

I decided to focus on the stitching aspect of materials made from being sewn together

Stitching of the netting around teh clementines

I was looking at the stitches holding the sails

The stitching of a fireman's bunker gear

There was even stitching on the boot

Sand Paper

I thought it would be fun to use sand paper as it should, and to experiment with it outside of its context and the literal sense of its name

Imagine a bed made of sandpaper

This is more about the texture, but I sanded the sand paper to smooth it out

I was thinking about sand and the shape of my sandpaper and attempted a sort of Morroccon design

Thinking about sand again, I decided to paint a beach scene on sandpaper

They say a shark's skin feels like sandpaper

Transparency

I thought of transparency as something you can see through, and decided to use this inspiration of all things a person can look through and see through to the other side - Sorry some of the pictures are not rotated properly, I can't figure out why they won't load properly

Wood

I am fascinated by the texture of wood and tried to experiment with different ways to both use it and alter it
